Terms and Conditions

Upon acceptance of your reservation the following conditions are applicable:

  • Confirmation of your reservation is upon receipt of your deposit. The balance of payment is due on or before arrival together with the key/breakages/cleaning deposit of R1000, as indicated on your booking form. The deposit is refundable provided that all facilities are in clean, good working order and the terms below are adhered to.
  • The deposit will be reimbursed via Electronic Funds Transfer within 24 hours of departure. Please ensure you have supplied your banking details timeously.
  • Arrival time is regarded as between 14:00 and 20:00 (unless prior arrangement has been made)
  • Departure time is 10:00 (unless prior arrangement has been made)
  • The Cancellation Policy is as follows:
    • 3 months before stay date: 30% of stay is refundable
    • 1 month before stay date: 10% of stay is refundable
    • 2 weeks before stay date: 0 % of stay is refundable
  • Accommodation is provided for 10 guests,
    • Management must be notified should any day or night–visitors make use of the facilities. Any day-visitors must depart before 21:00.We reserve the right to charge for extra guest
    • Sea Cottage House celebrates the fact that there is very little crime in the area. However, we cannot accept responsibility for personal property such as cameras, laptops etc. that may be left unattended at the house. We therefore recommend, for your own security, that you set the alarm system when you leave the premises.
    • We are not responsible for any injury to guests or theft of their property.
    • Noise levels are to be maintained within an acceptable level, especially after 23:00. The area is in close proximity to nature reserves which is conducive to peace and relaxation and we trust that you respect this request and consider neighbours and other guests at accommodation facilities in the vicinity.
    • No music amplifiers or speakers are permitted at the venue, unless you have specified and informed management that you are booking for use of such a nature. This house is not a party venue as we respect our neighbours, If you wish to book for a party please advise.
    • For obvious reasons, children must be supervised at all times whilst swimming. We are not responsible for their safety or supervision. We also expect that you will supervise children in terms of respecting the establishment’s furniture, fittings and all aspects of the entertainment area.
    • Any breakages, damages or removal of contents of the property shall be for your expense. If necessary, please notify us on departure of your awareness of any aforementioned irregularities or malfunctioning equipment that you may have used.
    • We provide you with 30 units (kWh) of electricity. Should it need to be topped up the electricity meter number is 07120857425 and electricity can be purchased at the local convenience store or via the internet or will be supplied at a cost of R2.45 per unit.
    • No smoking is permitted inside the house. If you smoke inside the house you will forfeit your deposit in respect of repainting and carpet cleaning costs etc.
    • The CCTV system is in place to protect Sea Cottage Rentals’ property and not to invade your privacy. Do not tamper with the cameras; they are not monitored unless damage has occurred. There are only CCTV cameras outside the home.
    • The pool is on an automatic system. Do not to tamper with the pool pump and pool equipment.
